General redirect

 

Place this into your .htaccess file

//START CODE

Redirect  permanent  /file.html  http://www.yourdomain.com

//END CODE
 

http://www.yourdomain.com :replace this with the URL you
 want to redirect to
file.html (optional) :replace this with the relative path
 to the file you want to use the
 redirect for (starting from root).
 If you want to use the redirect for
 your whole domain you can remove
 this.
 This also works for folders
permanent (optional) :This parameter says if this is a permanent
 ("permanent") or temporary ("temp")
 redirection (you can also remove this).
